SYNOPSIS: Burning Mussolini is a satirical crime drama about a man who falls from grace and the woman who rescues him. Paul, an ex-boxer with a checkered past, had some initial success in his new career as a writer, but now he is stagnating, suffering from severe writers block. Suddenly Paul decides to through the mother of all weddings to compensate for his feelings of inadequacy. Problem is he can’t pay for it.
As a really bad solution for lack of funds and face, Paul and his longtime friends decide to rip off Mussolini Bonacci, a local drug dealer. Murphy’s law prevails, as things go wrong, very wrong.
Cheryl, Paul’s fiancé an upper-middle-class kind of gal, one worthy of more, is faced with losing everything, is forced to take care of things, as she knows Paul is incapable.
